Abby Blankenship has over 25 years of experience in the Hunter/Jumper industry. After winning the 1994 USET Talent Search, she went on to work with top industry leaders including Mindy Darst and Polly Howard. In 2019, Blankenship opened up her own business, Three Ships LLC, to pursue her passion of helping clients grow into successful riders at all levels. Additionally, Blankenship is a “R” judge and was selected as a judge for the 2020 USEF Junior Hunter Finals.
Kristen Moss has been working in partnership with Abby Blankenship for the past 14 years. She works as both the office manager and the beginner riding instructor. After graduating from UK with a degree in Elementary Education, she has the skills to teach kids the basics of horseback riding with a focus on form and function.
Megan Clark has been riding under the tutelage of Abby Blankenship for the last 14 years. After years of competing, she has become a professional and is an Assistant Trainer and Rider at Three Ships LLC. Her speciality is positively facilitating partnerships between pony and rider.
As Barn Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, Courtney Motz ensures that the barn is running smoothly. She attended TCU where she was the barn manager and two year captain of the NCAA Equestrian Team and she graduated with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Courtney took this valuable experience to Three Ships LLC to oversee and organize the daily individualized care of each animal. Additionally, she manages all social media and the website for the business.
Tanya Truszkowski recently joined the Three Ships team as an Assistant Trainer and Rider. Tanya comes after ample experience with top industry trainers including Mindy Darst, Patty Rogers and Jennifer Nadalin. Additionally, she was an instructor at the University of Findley’s English Equestrian Studies program.
We are so lucky to have six grooms who work to make sure each horse is happy and healthy. The guys provide daily care to the horses including feeding, mucking stalls, turnout and tacking. They are diligent and truly an essential part of our team.
